Accommodation Aspen Snowmass

Aspen's Finest

Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a serious week of skiing with friends or a relaxed family holiday, you'll find accommodation to suit your needs. Choose a condo or hotel in the heart of Aspen if you're looking for a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops, and the option to choose which mountain to ski each day.

If you prefer to be right on the slopes, look to Snowmass. Well suited for skiers on a budget, Snowmass is also an easy, convenient option for families, particularly if you're looking for ski school or childcare.

Skiing & Boarding

Aspen Ski Packages

Aspen is as perfect for advanced skiers and boarders, as it is for families and beginners. With four resorts within a radius of 14km, you can ski your entire holiday without covering the same ground twice. Ride the Silver Queen Gondola 996m to the top of Aspen Mountain, known by the locals as Ajax. From here, you’ll look down on the streets of Aspen as you test your stamina on long, steep, groomed runs, or venture off-piste.

If you're a beginner or an intermediate, get your legs together on the gentle slopes of Buttermilk, while your kids take a lesson at the Hideout, an innovative learning centre for young skiers.

With its advanced terrain, Snowmass is ideal for intermediates and families looking to take advantage of ski school. Then there’s Aspen Highlands, much loved by locals especially on a powder day. Here you’ll find some of North America’s most extreme terrain, including the Highlands Bowl. Hike the ridge to the Bowl for the sweetest run of your life, or cruise along the mid-mountain groomers off the Cloud Nine chairlift.

Aspen also offers cat skiing on the backside of Aspen Mountain. A typical day averages 10,000 vertical feet of ungroomed wilderness skiing and boarding in an expanse of 1,100 acres with open bowls, meadows and glades. Two guides and a driver lead each 12 person snowcat group, selecting terrain according to conditions and your experience.

Activities

Day or night, when you’re staying at Aspen, there’s always plenty to engage your interest. If you’re feeling active, you can take your pick from yoga, tubing, the alpine coaster, snow biking, dog sledding, ice skating and snowshoeing.

Alternatively, immerse yourself in cultural activities, including the new Aspen Art Museum, the Wheeler Opera House, the Aspen Historical Society, Belly Up Live Music venue and more.

And when it comes to dining, the choices are endless. Aspen is consistently rated the #1 resort in North America for dining, and Aspen Snowmass boasts 100 bars and restaurants.

Getting There & Around

Getting to Aspen is easy! Aspen Airport is located just 5 minutes from Aspen town and 15 minutes from Snowmass. It offers daily direct flights from 10 cities including Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Eagle County Regional airport is the next closest, 90 min- utes from Aspen while Denver International Airport is about a 4-hour drive.

There is a free skier shuttle bus between each of the four mountains. It runs from 8am to 4.30pm so no matter where you are staying, you can choose to ski a different mountain each day. In addition to the skier shut- tle, the Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) provides a free and extensive bus service within Aspen until 2am. Both downtown Aspen and Snowmass Village are pedestrian friendly. Numerous hotels and resorts in Aspen and Snowmass Village offer resort shuttles to the slopes, and — in some cases — luxury transfers to wherever you want to go.

Our staff love...

At Aspen Mountain you can ski down the same runs that hosted World Cup finals, ride through gladed powder stashes, chase after the snowcat-towed Oasis Champagne Bar, or put together one quad-burning top-to-bottom after another.
