Accommodation Verbier

accommodation in Verbier, ranging from two star bed and breakfasts and three star budget hotels, to authentic Swiss chalets and luxurious full-service 5-star hotels. Most of the accommodation in Verbier is all-inclusive and very little of it is ski-in-ski-out. If you want to stay in the heart of the village, where you’ll be closest to the lifts, restaurants and bars, keep in mind that this is a party town, so things can get rowdy. On the flipside, the quieter parts of the village are furthest from the action and so you’ll need to get shuttles to and from your accommodation.

Skiing & Boarding

Switzerland’s four Vallees ski area connects 11 villages and offers an incredible 400km of ski runs services by over 80 lifts… and there are more runs that aren’t marked on the maps, plus endless off-piste Quite simply, it’s massive! While this incredible mountain is best suited to extreme and advanced skiers, thanks to its vast terrain, there’s plenty for strong intermediates as well, with well groomed, expansive runs in Verbier and beyond. Plus, with 70km of snowmaking on Verbier and the four Vallee's combined, you’re always assured of finding great terrain to get your heart pumping, even towards the end of the season. To get the most out of this mountain, it’s best to book a guide who can take you to the lesser frequented areas that best suit your ability and the conditions.

Activities

Verbier is pretty much all about skiing and boarding during the day, and partying all night long. This sensational resort has some mega bars unlike any others you’ll find in European ski resorts. However, if you’re looking for more to do on the snow, there are a few options – like ice-karting, snowshoe trekking, dog-sledding and winter hiking. There’s also some cross country area to explore, though best with guides. Verbier has a ski cross course, and a terrain park as well as a ski school and fun park where kids can practice their skills. For less physical entertainment, Verbier has a cinema, a few spas and some quieter bars and restaurants where you can relax and soak up the resort’s incredible scenery.

Getting There & Around

To get to Verbier, fly into Geneva then switch to a bus for a two hour journey from the airport to the resort. It’s also possible to fly into Zurich or Milan, which is around four hours by road. Catching a train is a good option with the station of Le Chable at the bottom of the valley. From here you can get a bus or gondola to Verbier.
