Revelstoke

Revelstoke is renowned for its legendary Selkirk powder and challenging terrain. Most of this mountain is suited to intermediate and advanced skiers, though beginners aren't forgotten with a magic carpet for first timers at the base area and some gentle green slopes. With over 1,200 hectares of skiable terrain and North America's longest lift-accessed descent (1,713 vertical metres), Revelstoke is steep, deep and packed with memorable experiences.

Revelstoke Accommodation

As this is a relatively new resort, accommodation on the mountain is limited to the Sutton Place Hotel. Nevertheless, it’s a well-equipped modern hotel with impressive facilities – including outdoor hot tubs and a large swimming pool with bar service. Being on the snow and just ten minutes from the town of Revelstoke, it’s perfect for families. Alternatively, head to the town where you’ll find a variety of accommodation, much of it older style highway motels as well as some B&Bs and lodges. Here you’ll also find a good choice of restaurants, bars and shopping.

Skiing & Boarding

There’s no doubt that Revelstoke is a mountain for serious skiers. With an average 12 -18 metres of famous Selkirk snow falling here every year, and 1,263 hectares of terrain to explore, much of it below the tree line, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. When the conditions are right, Revelstoke offers some challenging backcountry touring, cat skiing and Heli skiing – though be sure to book in advance. And, if you’re looking to get your quads burning, don’t miss the longest run, which covers a gruelling 15.2km!

Activities

As you’d expect, Revelstoke is all about the snow, with fantastic activities available at the Revelstoke Outdoors Centre including cat skiing, back country touring with guides, Heli-skiing and avalanche courses. But, if that’s all sounding a little full on, consider a day of snow tubing, snowshoeing, paragliding or dog sledding.

Getting There & Around

Revelstoke is easily accessible from Kelowna, just a 2.5hr drive. Once you’re in Revelstoke it’s so small that you won’t need a car and there’s a daily shuttle to get you to and from the town and mountain.

Our staff love...

Revelstoke is best for Advanced to Expert skiers, for these guys it’s a real bucket list mountain. It’s a real big mountain experience. I would not recommend this for young families, maybe families with teens that are strong skiers. There is a good shuttle system between the resort and town which runs until late, town is about 10- 15 mins away. It’s your typical ski town with lots of restaurants, bars and ski specialty shops.
