Characterized by mighty granite spires, the Bugaboo Mountains offer immense variety in terrain, with plentiful ski runs both above and below tree line. Despite the draw of these world-renowned mountains, Bugaboo Lodge remains the sole base for skiing among these majestic peaks and glaciers.

The Bugaboo's are both a dramatic and inspiring mountain range. These mountains are stupendous and incomparable with so few visitors you will feel as if you have the world at your feet (or skis!).

Skier Level: Strong intermediate or advanced skiers with experience skiing in powder, snowboarders need to be very strong riders.

Inside The Lodge

This is where the magic started - Historic significance and modern comforts come together in the Bugaboos. Under Hans Gmoser, CMH began heli-ski operations there in 1965, and it remains the most established area.

Located near the base of Bugaboo Glacier, the Bugaboo lodge looks out on one of the most unique mountain settings anywhere in the world.

Your first view from the lodge’s entrance are the great spires of the Bugaboos and the glaciers that swirl below them- a signature moment. From the cozy log-hewn lodge, you'll take in the same mind-blowing scenery that's astounded mountaineers for a century. History abounds but so do modern comforts - Bugaboos has one of the best hot tub views on the planet.

The lodge offers guests a warm and friendly environment with a cozy bar-lounge area, dining room, games room, ski shop, exercise equipment with climbing wall, rooftop hot tub, sauna and steam room, inhouse, registered massage professionals.

When you have arguably the best view from a hot tub in the entire world, who needs to Heli-Ski? Well, you do – but your partner, friend or family member will be just as happy indulging in the rhythm of their breath on the yoga mat or tackling the copious cross-country trails.

Getting There & Around

There are a number of ways to travel to CMH Buggaboos Lodge, you can ride in one of the CMH coaches (with designated pick up/drop off locations), or drive yourself to the Helipad. If you choose to self-drive to the CMH Bugaboos Helipad, please arrive by 08:45 PT 09:45 MT to ensure a proper introduction to the Bugaboos program. If you miss your scheduled heli-transfer, you will be subject to additional transportation costs.
